Final expense is one of the most profitable opportunities in the insurance business because of the demographic we market to. We market to people who are 50-80 years old, on a fixed income, and generally, have some health issues. All of our marketing is done through direct mail or digital lead vendors. This eliminates the need to cold call and allows agents to not only work during the day but also gives them the ability to scale their business however they please.

The typical final expense life insurance policy has a face value of $10k and costs $60 a month. For someone who has a number of health issues and needs a vehicle to pay for their final expenses, simplified issue whole (SIWL) is the only way to go.  The commission is generally 2-3 times better than supplemental cancer, heart, and accident policies.

We do work leads that are sent by people who are for the most part interested in SIWL insurance. However, this is still sales and it requires a very particular set of skills to write $200k+ in premium per year. Having said that, this business is a perfect fit for anyone that has been successful with any of the following companies:

Our agents generally receive 20-30 fresh leads every week and work in the field on average 2-3 days per week. Field days consist of 7-10 selling appointment set by phone the previous day. Agents are considered independent. This means 100% vesting from day one, much higher compensation as opposed to captive agencies, the ability to win carrier incentive trips and cash bonuses.
